SUNDAY CHURCH SCHOOL In preparation for the 2006/2007 Sunday Church School year, we invite anyone interested in team teaching or assisting in the SCS to contact Nicole Chan.  SCS registration and Rally Day are  September 10.

Pastor Kabila with the successful completion of his internship at St. Peter’s, Pastor Kabila has been recommended by the Synod Candidacy Committee to the Examining Committee.  We rejoice in this good news.

 

THANK YOU to the members of the Senior Choir for their musical leadership. Senior  Choir resumes Sept. 7, 2006.

 

SUMMER SURVIVAL KITS PROJECT Service Committee (SMO) has been working with the Sunday  Church School to fill four back packs with cotton socks, toiletries, juice boxes, chocolate bars, water bottles, gift coupons(food) & New Testaments.   Howard Dean is present this morning to receive the summer survival kits on behalf of the Ottawa Inner City Ministries.  Thank you to all who contributed to the summer project.

 

NEW HYMNAL, Evangelical Lutheran Worship, will be published in October 2006.  Copies of the hymnal can be purchased  for  the  church  as a  thank  you  to God,  for a special occasion, or in memory of a  loved one.  While any amount can be donated, the pre-published cost  is $24.00, including  taxes and  shipping.  Mark your offering envelope, “Hymnal”.

 

NEWSLETTER deadline to submit articles is July 23.

 

SUMMER FELLOWSHIP after Sunday Worship, you may choose to  serve a cold drink such as lemonade.  Fellowship volunteers are needed. Sign-up list is in the parish hall.
